Did not want to wake up this morning, but after I was up, I was okay. I forgot I had to prep for a meeting today, but I condensed the time I take to plan and got it done before leaving to work. I had a banana for breakfast and made myself a sandwich and another banana for lunch. As I was walking to work, 2 minutes away from the building, I stepped into a huge puddle. My right shoe and bottom pant leg got soaked, but dried pretty quickly. My first meeting didn't go as planned, only because there was a schedule misunderstanding, so I pushed it to later. Lunch was okay, spent most of it filling out the crazy timesheets.
I unexpectedly participated in a new faculty workshop that I put together, but I was very interested to hear what the new professors/librarians discussed. There was a guy who stuttered, something I haven't personally encountered. Before he introduced himself, he explained that it was just a speech problem he had and in no way did that mean he was nervous or couldn't think of the words. It was interesting to observe. After work, I had my 2 meetings with my coaches and it went well. Despues de eso, camine al tren y me moje muchisimo. I officially hate having to take public transportation, and thus walk in the rain. It's still not a huge issue, but I'm not excited for the snow.
Came home and decided not to workout today. My legs are killing me! I made myself some chicken and rice, which apparently has "too many carbs." I honestly don't understand this "no carbs" rule. I can't live without them, and I'd rather eat healthfully and happy than be miserable. Now I'm full, content, and sleepy.
I plan to prepare for my first day at Columbia. Oh, AND another interview for the Department of Education (DOE) of NYC. Excited and nervous about this one. Please send me good vibes!
